Hi John, hoping you could fast track me here..

I'd like to rush out a promo on my xmas song and direct people to a sexy looking page where they can download my song for free.. but I'd also like to give people the option to pay for it with a few amount options.. would like to test the response to this kind of campaign.

Would appreciate any resources you could provide to get this up and running.. with thx Dino :~)

Hey Dino, you really have so many options on something like this. If I were doing it, I would probably use my sales page template with no comments, and then place a music video front and center even if it was just a lyric video. I'd using a headline and a supporting paragraph to tell people what you wanted them to do (IE, download or buy), then I would have dual buttons below that. There is a lesson here on "product options" that has some code you can use for the dual button set up.

Is that the kind of feedback you;re looking for?

Thx John every bit of info helps.. any leads on outsourcing a quality lyric video?

A real time juggle at the moment.. would be gr8 to delegate all this out to someone else to get it across the line so I can focus on getting the release finished.. the joys of being independent!

Cheers.. Dino :~)

I hear you...

How much would you be looking to spend on a lyric video? I might have a good option for you...

Hey John, back on deck with this.. what was your suggestion re a lyric video? I guess cost is relative to outcome..

It would be a gr8 help if you couple provide a few links to some pages that you think would be a good representation of something I could model for what I'm trying to achieve with regard to my xmas song offering.. with thx Dino :~)

Hey Dino,

I don't have a link just yet, but I've been talking with someone about teaming up to offer this as a service within MMM.

The only example I have is one we did for a client. You can see it here:

I haven't figured out the pricing yet, but it would likely cost about $150.

You can get them done cheaper on sites like Fiverr, but it's hard to find the quality. But it's also not uncommon to find lyric video services up between $500 - $1000.

Let me know if it's something you're interested in or need help with.

Thanks for the info on the lyric video John..

Can you provide any links to some pages that you think would be a good representation of how I could set up my download page for my xmas song offering with free or payment options? .. thx Dino :~)

Hey Dino,

I don't have an example handy, but it could be as simple as using the sales page template. I'd probably add a headline at the top, then the video, a short paragraph or call to action, and then a Paypal donation button where people can set their own price.

Or, if you don't want to use the donation option then you could use the order button layout referenced in this lesson:

https://www.mmmanifesto.com/in.....t-options/

That make sense?

Yes that makes sense John.. thx for that.

As a side note, I am planning to do an official release my xmas song next year in the lead up to 2019 xmas and pitch it for licensing opportunities etc where new original xmas songs are being sought.. have you had any experience with pitching any releasing an original xmas song.. would be good to get way ahead the curve on this.

Hey Dino. Sorry. I missed this post somehow. Just seeing it now.

I tend not to focus on radio and licensing, so I'm probably not the best person to ask. Instead I focus on direct to consumer strategies.

But like anything, networking is going to be a big part of this. Doing your research about the individuals you want to reach, then reach out with personal appeals, with plenty of time. The usual stuff, really.

Good luck with the Christmas song. I hope to release one myself next year so I may be in the same boat with you.
