Hi Dave,

Steve here.  when you're first getting started and do not have press quotes/ reviews you can use, you can always reach out to people who are familiar with your music and see if they can give you a quote to use.

Has anyone tweeted about your music on Twitter?  Perhaps you can screenshot the tweets and paste an image of the tweet on your page.  The idea is to give your squeeze page visitors the sense that others have heard your music and have a favorable opinion of it.  This helps people overcome their natural resistance to filling out the form and giving you their email address.

Thanks Steve, I don't have any quotes from our twitter page right now but the first one on my squeeze page I got from soundcloud. The rest on the site are from what people have said to us without being asked. So they're pretty short and to the point. Not saying that's bad. I'll have to work on getting some better ones though.

Like Steve said, a simple solutiion is to just tell your FB friends/fans that you need a few quotes/testimonials for your website from fans. Explain that you just need something brief (just one or two sentences), and let them know that you will be sharing them on your site. You should easily get a bunch of them. Then create a graphic by taking screen shots and laying them out, using their names and social icons. Then just place the quotes to the right of your own image and make one full width graphic. This still feeds right into the "look what people are saying" feel of that section of the squeeze page and should be just as effective as media quotes.

The goal with the quotes is to just overcome any doubt that you are a real artist, with real fans. Impressive media quotes are a great way to do it. But by showing social activity you can still do the same exact thing. Make sense?

Sounds like a plan 🙂
