Live Music Marketing Coaching Session – Tuesday at Noon (Pacific)
It’s official. I’ve become that guy who starts every blog post with “wow, it’s been way to long since I’ve posted anything here on the site”. But I swear that there really is a very good reason for that…
In short, I spent the first half of 2016 working on campaigns for other artists. It’s not something I tend to do often because it inevitably takes so much time away from my work here at Music Marketing Manifesto. But it’s something that I need to do from time to time to keep my marketing chops up and stay on top of the many changes that are constantly taking place in the music industry.
The good news is that each of the campaigns I worked on this year landed on various Billboard, radio, and retail charts. By all accounts, we hit our goals and the albums were successful; confirming that people DO still buy independent music when the music is marketed in the right way.
I feel as though my marketing instincts are sharper than ever and in the coming months I will be working on distilling everything I’ve learned over the last six months into a new release of Music Marketing Manifesto. There is no release date set yet, and I’m only just getting started. But it’s in the works and with a little luck will be ready for release before too long.
With that said… I thought it was time to get back in the game (so to speak), and have little music marketing pow wow, in the form of a live music marketing Q & A.
The concept is pretty straight forward… I’m going to be holding a live Q & A session this coming Tuesday (September 13th) at noon pacific time.
This will be a chance for you to get direct feedback on your marketing campaigns and gain insight into some of the latest developments on the music marketing landscape.
It’s completely free to attend, and all are welcome.
To take part in this one time event you can either call in via phone line or listen in via the web. You can either ask your questions live on the call, or submit them via the “ask a question tab” in the online broadcast room.
Here are all the details:
Time: Tuesday, September 13th at 12:00 PM Pacific
To listen in via the web visit: http://iTeleseminar.com/89114664
To listen in via the phone call: (425) 440-5100
Pin Code: 994234#
Duration: Approximately 90 minutes
If you are unable to make the scheduled time, then not to worry. You can submit your questions any time between now and the end of the event on the left hand side of this page. A replay of the call will be posted shortly after it concludes.
IMPORTANT: The only caveat here is that my teliseminar system is limited to 100 people on the phone lines and 500 on the webcast. With nearly 50,000 musicians on the MMM mailing list, it’s expected that the lines will fill up. If you do not get in via the phone lines then try the webcast. If you are unable to get access via the online broadcast link, refresh your screen every few minutes until a spot becomes available.
Please also be aware that while I will make very effort to answer all of the questions that come in, due to the high volume of questions that are anticipated I may not be able to get through everything. However, I WILL certainly make every effort to answer as many questions as possible.
That’s about it for today. It’s been over three years since I have held a live Q & A that was open to the public like this and I’m really looking forward to it.
If you have any questions about the event, please post them in the comments below.
If you have any questions you would like answered DURING the event, please post them here.
Hope to speak with you on Tuesday.

Hi Stephen,
Thanks for your interest. My best advice would be to start building a targeted email subscriber list, of people who would be most likely to buy what you are creating, and start to build a relationship with them. With this approach your sales numbers will be in direct proportion to the size of the list you build.
Let me know if I can ever help with anything else.
sorry, I missed your Q&A, but I do have a question for you. I don’t specialize in any type of mainstream music, concentrating on fringe styles ranging from ambient and avant-garde to noise and improvisation. How do I tap into a market like that with your resources?
I don’t know when exactly I can get it since I am in Scotland and my time zone is GMT
Hi Kofi, the replay is up here:

Keep in mind that the replay will be coming down on Friday at midnight.
Enjoy!
Hi John!

John thanks for reaching out to me. I’ll be on your call, and I’m looking fwd to it.
Looking forward to the marketing coaching session
Happy to hear it Paul. Catch you on Tuesday.
With the new music marketing manifesto u are creating will it be better then the one u already created should I wait to purchase the one U are creating or purchase the one u already have
Hey Michael,
That’s completely your call. I like to think that any new addition will be an improvement on the last. The only catch is that I don’t have any release date planned yet. It could be next month, it could be next summer. Just depends how quickly it comes together. That said, I will be offering anyone who orders within 90 days of the new release a free upgrade. So you are protected to that extent.
Let me know if I can help with anything else.
Hello John.
My gospel album willbe ready soon. Do you build campaigns for gospel music?
God bless
AC
Hey AC,
I don’t tend to take on many individual campaigns for the reasons mentioned above. However, many Gospel artists have come through the Music Marketing Manifesto members area.
Let me know if I can help with anything else.
This will be awesome, see you on the phone lines!
Awesome Brian. Catch you Tuesday.
