The Vegan Black Metal Chef & Niche Marketing In Music
I’m excited to introduce you guys to what is possibly the coolest guest I’ve ever had on the Music Marketing Manifesto Podcast, the Vegan Black Metal Chef.
The Vegan Black Metal Chef combines music and cooking in a very unexpected and fun way, which has led to coverage from ABC, the Washington Post, Wired, and more.
Actually… You might just need to see this one for yourself…
Ehem, so as I was saying… His success is a fantastic example of how niche marketing can be used to make an artist really stand out in the eyes of journalists, editors, and producers, and connect an artist with fans in a way that is far more impactful than simply sharing your music via traditional music channels.
In this episode the Vegan Black Metal Chef discusses how he transitioned from serious black metal artist to internet cooking show phenomenon, the success that followed, and the lessons he’s learned along the way.

Oh yeah, almost forgot… I’m getting ready to release MMM 3.0. Still finishing up the last few videos but it’s currently slotted to go live on the 16th of October. So keep an eye out. It’s shaping up to be a massive course that takes music marketing to a whole new level. I’m really proud of this one.
Strangest thing i have seen this week! Very interesting fusion choice.
Hi Erick,
Thanks for stopping by to take a look. Strange indeed, but I love what this guy is doing!
Let me know if I can ever help with anything.
Wow! That was quite fun and entertaining while at the same time educational and did not compromise by staying true in “Black Metal” fashion.
Glad you liked it Ed. I really dig what Brian is doing with the VBMC, Really fun.
Quality video, I really enjoyed that, specially as I’m vegetarian myself. 🙂
Going to listen to the full interview later John when I’ve got a bit of free time. Very unique idea.
Hey Shaun, I thought so to. I’ve been a vegetarian for almost three years and found it really refreshing to find a voice in that world that really kicks ass.
There is no end to where you can go if you have fun with what you love.
Cut.. The asparagus
I like in three pieces.
🙂
Agreed. “A good bit of sugar, but not so much that you’re eating fucking Candy.” 🙂
That was my favourite line of the song too. 😀
Love this. Thanks John.
My pleasure Susan. Glad you liked the episode.
