Win One of 10 Free Passes to the Virtual Music Conference ($47 value).
This should be fun… I’ve got 10 free passes to the Virtual Music Conference, at which I’m going to be a speaker. It takes place this coming week Feb 26 – 28 and It will consist of 3 days of live high-level music industry networking, education, live artist showcases, business development and more! Everything takes place ONLINE.
Normally tickets will cost $47 for early registrations, but I got my hands on a few free passes and I thought it’d be fun to share them with you guys.
But rather than make this first come first serve (which will cause these to go in a matter of seconds), I thought we’d give everyone a fighting chance and make this a little more fun. Maybe even pick up a few tricks in the process.
Here’s how this will work…
1. To enter to win a free pass simply leave a short comment below this post using the “Facebook comments” feature. Note* Only comments left as Facebook comments will be counted.
2. In the comment please share your most successful music promotion strategy. This can be a long explanation or a simple one word answer (IE, Youtube). This way we might all learn something during this process and come away winners, regardless of whether or not you’re lucky enough to snag a pass.
3. I will randomly pick a letter using randomlettergenerator.com and the first 10 comment authors who’s first names start with that letter will get a free pass. If there are still passes left over I will select another letter, and so forth, until all passes are distributed. Winners will be contacted via Facebook message within 48 hours of this post being published and will be announced here on this page shortly thereafter.
.
If you’d like to attend the conference but don’t feel like trying your luck with this contest, or you’d just like more details about the conference you can go here for all the info <==
Good luck!
UPDATE*** This contest is now over. The winning letters were W, I, Z, U, F, B, and M. All winners have been selected and notified. I have also posted comment replies below each winner’s comment for the sake of transparency.
While the contest may be over, I urge you to spend some time reading through the comments. there is a wealth of valuable information there. Thank you all for sharing your experiences and making this whole thing a lot of fun. If you didn’t win but you are still interested in attending the conference you can register for the VMC here <==

ReverbNation and other free sites for sharing music, websites, even Facebook, and live gigs. I mainly want to pitchmy music to other artists, so I want to find a way to get my songs to my chosen artists.
Walter McKeever I feel the only avenue left to ‘stand out’ is video. There are over 40 million free tracks on myspace alone, but there aren’t near that many great songs with ‘fun to watch’ video.
You can be more like 1 in 5000 worldwide if your video is a fun watch with interesting production and you’re promoting great music. Like Northwest Ohio hometown heroes The Dumb Easies ‘low budge’ but fun video for Fading Away. http://youtu.be/WHAs-koXzMU

Playing venues, having a squeeze page and mailing my newsletter to subscribers and selling my CDs to my mailing list.
Soundbites on my website. I have a new album coming out and plan to try to target my songs to a few well-known artists by sending them copies of my CD when it’s released.
All social Networks are great avenues for Marketing and Promotions
HARE KRISHNA!
Remember, comments left using this general blog comment feature will not be counted for this particular contest. Use the Facebook comments above.
This is a bit confusing. For some reason my comment is not being taken up above. Is there some facebook ap I have to have installed that I haven’t heard on a learning module yet?
Very strange, when I replied here, my Facebook engaged for my comment above to post.
